The bride, Natacha Roumiantzoff-Pachkevitch, is said to have descended from the Russian nobility, but she is not actually a countess as some would claim.
Her paternal grandfather was not born a count as the noble Roumiantzoff line became extinct in the 19th century. Her parents are Nicolas Pierre Roumiantzeff-Pachkevitch and Maria Meeuwissen.

The newlyweds in the garden of Château de Belœil in Belgium |
Archduke Alexander and Natacha wed on September 30, Saturday, at Eglise Saint Pierre in Belgium, a red brick neo-gothic Catholic church located in BelÅ“il in the province of Wallonia in Belgium. The wedding reception followed at the Château de BelÅ“il, the family seat of the House of Ligne.Â
The château, which is surrounded by a lake and beautiful gardens, is situated in the municipality of Belœil in the province of Hainaut, Wallonia, in Belgium. It has served as the main residence of the princes of Ligne in Belgium since the 14th century.
The bride wore an eye-catching white dress with a plunging neckline, which some royal observers claimed was just an optical illusion. She also kept her bridal look simple by just curling her locks and wearing a floral headband instead of a tiara.Â
