Prince Georg Friedrich of Prussia Announces Engagement to Princess Sophie of Isenburg

Prince Georg Friedrich of Prussia, the current head of the House of Hohenzollern, and direct descendant of the last German emperor, Kaiser William II, announces engagement to Princess Sophie of Isenburg. He is a direct descendant of Queen Victoria of the United Kingdom through her eldest child, Princess Vicky. 

Princess Sophie of Isenburg's two sisters, Princess Katharine and Princess Isabel, also married into German royalty. Hohenzollern and Isenburg in Germany are the only remaining royal houses in Europe that require their descendants to marry fellow royals. 

Prince Georg is a cousin twice removed to Queen Sophia of Spain through their common ancestor, Kaiser William II.
