Royal Engagement Announcement

The world of European royalty will have another round of pompous romantic celebrations later this year. There are two young royals who had announced their engagement (to different partners of course) late last year.

Princess Madelaine of Sweden, the youngest child of King Carl XVI Gustav, is about to marry Christopher O'Neill, a New York-based financier, on June 8, 2013 in Stockholm. The event will see another gathering of royalty around the world as this is not a wedding of an heir to the throne, guests might just wear formal attire without sash and tiaras. The Swedish princess had finally moved on-happily, after her devastating heartbreak with her former fiance, Jonas Bergstrom, who, months after they announced their engagement in 2009, news revealed that Bergstrom cheated with a young Swedish girl. Madelaine left Sweden after her older sister's wedding in 2010 and settled in New York City.

Prince Felix of Luxembourg and Claire Lademacher
had announced their engagement last December 27, 2012.

Another young royal who is expected to marry this year is Prince Felix of Luxembourg, the second son of Grand Duke Henri. He had announced his engagement to Claire Lademacher, a German heiress last December 2012. Unlike, his sister-in-law who is a Belgian countess by birth, Felix will be marrying a commoner. But in a direct contrast to another sister in-law, Tessie, the wife of his younger brother, Prince Louis, Claire is an heiress to a large fortune. Felix and Claire's wedding is yet to announce but as the tradition would dictate, it would be surely held at the bride's home in Germany.
