Monaco begins festivities for the third edition of the Grimaldi Historic Sites Meeting at the square outside the Prince's Palace.
And to strengthen these diplomatic ties, the Prince's Palace of Monaco established an event that would celebrate and showcase arts and culture related to these sites.
For this year's edition, three sites are represented: La Manche - with Saint-Lo, Hambye, Torigny-les-Villes, Granville, Moyon, Percy-en-Normandie and Cberbourg, the Territoire de Belfort, and the Alpes-Maritimes - with Cagnes-sur-Mer, La Turbie, Antibes-Juan-les-Pins, Puget-Theniers, and Peille.
Each of these sites will present its unique offerings such as crafts, folklore, culinary specialties, and traditional entertainment.
Prince Albert II was accompanied by his twins, Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella, on a horse-drawn carriage around the palace's square, but without Princess Charlene.
The Prince's Palace of Monaco released a statement that Her Serene Highness has tested positive for COVID-19, and thus, stayed out of the celebration.
Princess Charlene has fully returned to public duties since April 30 this year. She just attended three successive public events, and the latest being the Monaco F1 Grand Prix with her family. She also helped her husband handed out trophies to winners.
We are wishing for fast recovery of Princess Charlene!
