The Duchess of Cambridge accompanied her husband, Prince William, the Duke of Cambridge, to a charity polo match held at the Guards Polo Club on July 6, Wednesday. The Duke competed in the event to raise funds for royal charities.
The sporting event was held in Windsor, near the property, they are rumored to occupy this summer, the Adelaide Cottage. The Duchess of Cambridge also brought their family dog, Orla, to the event.
It was the first time that the Cambridges showed their new dog, Orla, an English cocker spaniel, to the public, after it appeared in Princess Charlotte's birthday photo in May, snapped by Kate.

Orla came into the Cambridge household when their first family dog, Lupo, was dying in November 2020, to help pick up Lupo's energy. The nine-year-old cocker spaniel succumbed to an illness.

In a rare moment of PDA, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge shared a hug and were spotted with their arms wrapped around each other's back.
In June, during the National Thanksgiving Service at St. Paul's Cathedral, royal fans compared the Cambridges to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Princess Beatrice, and Edo Mapelli-Mozzi, and the Tindalls, who were displaying PDA - arriving and leaving the church holding hands - but the classic William did not even touch his wife's elbow.

A royal etiquette expert, Myka Meier previously explained in an interview that there are no formal roles for the royal couples being lovey-dovey in public.
"Senior members of the royal family would likely not be told how to interact or when they can or can not show PDA and would be trusted to use their better judgment as to when it's appropriate," Meier said. "The royals often adjust PDA to mirror the formality of the event they are attending. At a somber or more formal event, we are less likely to see PDA than at a casual event where it would be deemed more fitting."
Prince William, a stickler of royal protocols, adjusts to a situation when to show or not show PDA with Kate. During formal events or when they perform royal duties, he always sticks to formality. But when they attend a more relaxed event, he often shows his husband's side by being sweet to his wife.

The Duchess of Cambridge kept her summer fashion simple, wearing a breezy white Denvella dress from Emilia Wickstead. She paired it with black slingback shoes and brown Sezane earrings.
