Girls' night out of the Spanish royal ladies in Palma de Mallorca as King Felipe VI of Spain left Mallorca for Colombia to attend an official public engagement.

On August 7, 2022, Sunday, the Spanish royal ladies - Queen Letizia, Queen Sofia, Princess Leonor, and Infanta Sofia - had a girls' night out in Palma de Mallorca.

Their dinner night out was the second time after their Ola del Mar dinner on August 5, 2022, with King Felipe VI and Princess Irene of Greece and Denmark, the younger sister of Queen Sofia.

The mother-and-daughter tandem wore sexy mini dresses from the Spanish high street brand, Zara. However, some royal fans took a swipe at King Felipe's wife for wearing a barbie-inspired pink mini dress which was the shortest dress the queen donned so far in public.

Other netizens compared her pink outfit to the dress of a pompom girl in the cheerleading squad. Queen Letizia's mini summer ensemble showed off her athletic leg muscles and caramel-tanned skin, which some netizens called "unreal" as the Queen was heard years ago advising girls against skin tanning.

However, other fans defended Queen Letizia's choice of an outfit, saying that Palma is humid and hot during the peak of the summer season. And her summer dress was just an appropriate choice when night strolling in Palma.

Outfit-of-the-night

Queen Letizia wore a printed pink mini dress from Zara, pink espadrille wedges from Clooui (a Spanish clothing and footwear brand), and a pink clutch.

The Princess of Asturias also donned a mini dress in blue also from Zara and repeated her favorite espadrille wedges from Mint and Rose. She accessorized her outfit with a white cross bag.

Infanta Sofia  wore a white mini white wrapped dress from Zara and her favorite espadrille wedges from Macarena shoes. She was a revelation in her mini dress as it clearly emphasized her height. She's so tall!

The Queen Mother, Queen Sofia, kept her appearance simple during this night out by wearing terno purple pants with white silk blouse. The former Queen consort of Spain also wore a mini cross bag and was carrying a hand bag.

This girls' night out also gave royal fans a clear picture on the real relationship between the current Queen consort and her mother-in-law. Queen Sofia was walking close to Queen Letizia and even held her arm all throughout their strolling in the night market.

Their relationship as a daughter-in-law and mother-in-law has been the subject of intrigues in recent years when Queen Letizia was caught by the camera pushing Queen Sofia during an Easter Sunday incident years ago.

It was so controversial that King Felipe VI's cousin-in-law, Marie-Chantal, the wife of Crown Prince Pavlos of Greece, posted a comment on social media about "the inappropriate gesture of Letizia to her mother-in-law".
