HRH The Princess of Asturias, Leonor, is back in Wales, UK to continue her studies at the United World College of the Atlantic, where she is in her last year taking up a two-year course in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program.Â
As she prepares to graduate next year, it's not yet clear if she will attend a UK-based university, just like Princess Elisabeth of Belgium, or move back to Spain to study in Madrid.
Princess Leonor has a busy schedule ahead. Next month during the autumn school break, she will travel back to Spain to attend the Princess of Asturias Awards Ceremony. The Awards will be presented by the Princess of Asturias Foundation and will be held in Oviedo, the capital of the Principality of Asturias.
As the heir-presumptive of her father, Princess Leonor is the nominal chairperson of the Princess of Asturias and Princess of Girona Foundations. But until she turns 18, the positions are assumed by her father in her name.Â
Princess Leonor will also celebrate her 17th birthday on October 31, 2022, either in Madrid or somewhere else in Spain. There's no information given by the Palace of Madrid on how it would be celebrated.

Her younger sister, Infanta Sofia, who turned 15 in April this year, is currently a secondary school student at Santa MarÃa de los Rosales school in Madrid.Â
Military Training
Upon turning 18 next year, it is reported that the Princess of Asturias will undergo military training in preparation for her future role as Captain General of the Spanish Armed Forces.

She is expected to attend training in the three military schools in Spain for three different branches of the armed forces: Air Force Academy in San Javier, Murcia, Army in Zaragoza, and Navy in Marin Pontevedra.
During her military training course, she will undergo physical and mental training on toughness, preparedness, values of defense, shooting, and risk management.
Among the future Queens in Europe today, only Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden and Princess Elisabeth, the Duchess of Brabant, finished their military training.

If she will ascend to the throne someday, she would be Spain's first queen regnant since Queen Isabella II, who reigned from 1833 to 1868.
Queen Letizia's latest public engagement
Meanwhile, Princess Leonor's mother, Queen Letizia, attended the 'Tour del Cancer' Conference in Lleida on September 6, Tuesday, in her capacity as the Permanent Honorary President of the Spanish Association Against Cancer.
The conference will take place in several cities in Spain until the end of the year with the aim of increasing the visibility and knowledge of the disease in society.
She kept her appearance simple by wearing a delicate floral print dress from Adolfo Dominguez and a pair of pink suede pumps from Lodi.
