However, this year, she seems making some makeover with her style by stepping out in more daring and sophisticated outfits.

But on October 24, 2022, as she accompanied King Felipe VI to the opening season of the Royal Theater in Madrid, she attracted both criticism and praises from royal fans when she stepped out in a daring look wearing a backless Paris navy dress from Miphai Collection.

The 50-year-old Queen Consort looked sensational in this midi dress that features mid-length sleeves, a ruffled hem and a backless design that revealed her prominent bones and toned physique.

This has been Queen Letizia's most daring outfit ever, surpassing the firestorm created by her fuchsia dress in May that showed off her abdomen.

Her Paris navy Miphai dress sparked mixed reaction from the public as it is a break from royal tradition and very unusual to be worn by senior royal members, much more for a Queen consort, during a public appearance. 

Royal fans took to social media to express their opinions. One commenter on instagram said, "the dress is unflattering and not appropriate for her status as Queen".

Other said, "A more bare back is not scandalous. Not everything needs to be a coat dress. She looks very elegant."
