Spanish Royals Received Recipients of Princess of Asturias Awards Ahead of the Ceremony

Just this morning, King Felipe VI, Queen Letizia, Princess Leonor, and Infanta Sofia received the recipients of the Princess of Asturias Awards at Hotel de la Reconquista in Oviedo ahead of the awarding ceremony tonight in the historical Principality of Asturias.

But it's the chic getup of Infanta Sofia that stunned royal fans as she stepped out in public wearing heels for the first time! We've been waiting for this moment to come 😄

The Princess of Asturias, King Felipe VI, Queen Letizia, and Infanta Sofia

The youngest daughter of the King and Queen wore a pair of navy suede pumps from Lodi shoes, and it's just a half-inch compared to the heels worn by her sister and mother. But she looks stunning and very ladylike despite being just 15 years old.

And we could not be more excited about her appearance! We've been waiting for Infanta Sofia to wear heels and she really impressed us with her sweet looks. She wore a striped dress with an asymmetrical hem from Boss.

Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofia closer than ever

She towers over her mother, Queen Sofia, who also wore heels from Nina Ricci, and who stands five feet and seven inches tall, and her older sister, the Princess of Asturias, who is two inches shorter than Sofia.

Princess Leonor wore a Carolina Herrera ensemble, a tweed jacket and a skirt, and a pair of Carolina Herrera leather pumps. Queen Letizia repeated her Cherubina dress, the same dress she wore in Windsor Castle during the Garter ceremony in 2019 where King Felipe VI was admitted by Queen Elizabeth into the Order.

The Princess of Asturias Awards Ceremony will be later tonight. Expect the royal ladies to wear another set of elegant outfits. Princess Leonor will also celebrate her 17th birthday on the 30th of October.
