According to the Prince's Palace of Monaco, the Princess of Grace Foundation Awards ceremony during the Gala night honors young talents to fund their education in cinema, theater, and dance.

This year marks 40 years of the Princess Grace Foundation headed by Prince Albert II. It was established in 1982 by Prince Rainier III following the sudden death of his wife in a car accident.

The 1.79-carat necklace in Grace diamond was created by Parisian jeweler, Lorenz Bäumer, and called "La Vie en Rose," or Life in Pink, and embellished in Grace diamond in honor of Princess Grace of Monaco, born Grace Kelly, a former Hollywood actress, who died in a car accident in September 1982.
