Luxembourg's Prince Guillaume and Princess Stephanie Share First Photos of Their Newborn Son, Prince Francois

Their Royal Highnesses Prince Guillaume, The Hereditary Grand Duke of Luxembourg and Princess Stephanie, The Hereditary Grand Duchess of Luxembourg shared first photos of their newborn son, Prince François.

The Prince, who bears the names of François Henri Luis Marie Guillaume, was born on March 27, 2023, at the Grand Duchess Charlotte Maternity Hospital in Luxembourg. He weighs 3.575 kg and measures 53 cm.

He is the second child of Prince Guillaume and Princess Stephanie and currently stands as third in the line of succession to the Luxembourgian throne. 

Prince François has an older brother, Prince Charles, who will turn three years old this coming May 10, 2023.

Unlike during the birth of Prince Charles, the Grand Ducal House of Luxembourg didn't share photos of the Prince Guillaume and Princess Stephanie leaving the hospital with their infant son.

They shared photos of the newborn prince, however, on the official website of the Grand Ducal house, snapped by Celine Maia of Studio by C.

The Hereditary Grand Ducal couple also thanked everyone who sent messages on the birth of their second son. And encouraged everyone to continue sending their message on the family's official website, monarchie.lu.

Prince Guillaume and Princess Stephanie, born Countess Stephanie de Lannoy, wed in October 2012. Their eldest child was born after almost eight years of their marriage.

With the birth of Prince Francois, all members of the House of Luxembourg fell one notch below their position in the line of succession. Prince Guillaume's younger brother, who was stood as his Spare, Prince Felix, is now fourth.

Princess Stephanie leaves hospital with her newborn son, Prince Francois, accompanied by Prince Guillaume and their two-year-old eldest child, Prince Charles.

Just like his older brother's birth in May 2020, Prince Francois' birth was honored with a 21-gun salute.

Before the left, Prince Guillaume and Princess Stephanie thanked the medical staff of Grand Duchess Charlotte Maternity Hospital for taking care of her while giving birth to her second child.
