More than 16 years later, the fashion style of then Kate Middleton, was seen again on St. David's Day in Windsor. Catherine, now the Princess of Wales, joined Prince William, the Prince of Wales on St. David's Day in Windsor attending the parade with the Welsh Guards.

Eagle-eyed royal fans noticed the similar fashion she donned in December 2006 when she attended the military graduation of Prince William in Sandhurst (Royal Military Academy), just four months before they broke up in April 2017 (they reconciled in September that year).

Kate wore the same Evica gloves that she donned on Prince William's military graduation in December 2006. She also channeled the same fashion style (red coat dress, black boots, and black hat).

Prince William assumed the role of Colonel Regiment of the Welsh Guards in December 2022, replacing his father, King Charles III, who had been Welsh Guards colonel regiment since 1975 (inheriting the role from Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh).
