The first royal wedding in 2024 has been announced and it will be in Brunei again! It looks like January is the traditional month when Brunei royals will have to wed.
This small oil-rich country in Southeast Asia was also the location of the first royal wedding in 2022 and 2023 when the Sultan's daughters, Princess Fadzilah and Princess Azemah wed.

Prince Mateen and Anisha's wedding will be held from January 7 to January 16, 2024” the official announcement stated. Just like his siblings, Prince Mateen's wedding will be a 10-day affair.
Royal events such as royal weddings are the grandest form of entertainment in Brunei its citizens often look forward. The only time they find enjoyment as most forms of entertainment that people in the West enjoy are banned in the country.

Just like his siblings' weddings, Prince Mateen's wedding is expected to be a lavish royal event. The 10-day celebration will include numerous traditional ceremonies such as the Royal Powdering Ceremony, an Islamic ceremony at the Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque, and a royal parade around the nation's capital, Bandar Seri Begawan

Prince Mateen obtained a degree in international politics from King’s College London and is currently a helicopter pilot in the Royal Brunei Air Force and holds the rank of major. A skilled polo player, he represented Brunei in the 2017 and 2019 Southeast Asian Games and other international polo tournaments,
