The Prince and Princess of Wales are known as the Duke and Duchess of Rothesay when they are in Scotland. On November 2, 2023, they traveled to Scottish Highland to meet organizations supporting rural communities and providing mental health support to young people.

Ahead of the visit, their spokesman said that the purpose of the royal couple's Scottish visit is to show “support for Scottish rural communities, as well as highlight work being done to support young people and mental health in this part of Scotland.”

Their first stop was in their Scottish domain of Rothesay where they met volunteers and organizers behind Outfit Moray, an award-winning outdoor learning and adventure program charity that aims to make a difference in the lives of others.

Outfit Moray supports young people and actively develops the potential of teens, their families, and their communities, through accessible, affordable outdoor learning and adventure: encouraging life skills and improving physical and mental health.

The Duke and Duchess of Rothesay were warmly received by Robert Manson and his wife Nicola who run Brodieshill Farm with Robert’s parents, Colin and Irene Manson. Mr. Manson told The P&J that hosting the visit was a “great honor”.

During the visit, the Duke and Duchess of Rothesay wore matching green jacket outfits to brave the cold weather of the Scottish Highlands.

They also wore a red poppy pin because November is the month when the British royals mark Remembrance Day (November 11), so every November, the red flower accessories become a piece of the royal family's wardrobe.
