The Royal Palace of Belgium released two official portraits of Their Majesties King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of the Belgians for their Silver Wedding Anniversary today.Â
The portraits are taken at the Royal Palace in Laeken and showed the King and Queen in their happy disposition. The Queen looked radiant in a white ensemble, gazing at her beloved husband.

On December 4, 1999, the eldest son of King Albert II of the Belgians and Queen Paola, Prince Philippe, the Duke of Brabant, wed a young Belgian aristocrat and speech therapist, Mathilde d'Udekemd'Acoz, a daughter of a Belgian aristocrat.

They first wed in a civil ceremony at Brussels City Hall, followed by a religious ceremony at the Cathedral of St. Michael and St.Gudula in Brussels.
Queen Mathilde is the first Belgian-born queen consort in the history of independent Belgium.
The King and Queen have four children together: Princess Elisabeth, now the Duchess of Brabant, Prince Gabriel, Prince Emmanuel, and Princess Eleonore. Happy 25th wedding anniversary!
