Secret Lunch of the Royal Cousins Revealed. Princess Eugenie and Jack Move to Portugal

Mike Tindall, the husband of Princess Anne's daughter, Zara Phillips-Tindall, revealed during a podcast, "The Good, The Bad and The Rugby" that the royal cousins - his wife, Zara, his brother-in-law, Peter, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie and their respective spouses - Edo Mapelli Mozzi and Jack Brooksbank, held a "secret lunch" in Mayfair, London after Trooping the Colour.

It was understood that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who was at Buckingham Palace during the Trooping the Colour ceremony, were invited but declined to attend, instead, they went straight to Frogmore in Windsor to be with their children, Archie and Lili.

Zara's husband, a former rugby player, admitted that the "secret lunch" with his wife's cousins and their spouses, after Trooping the Colour, was one of his highlights during the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebration. "We had a good cousins' lunch on Thursday. That was my highlight", he said.

Their "secret cousins' lunch" happened while the working members of the royal family, who made an appearance on the balcony with the Queen, had lunch also at Buckingham Palace afterwards. The non-working family members, including the Sussexes, watched the parade from the Major General's Office in Buckingham Palace.

It appeared also that non-working royals were not invited to the lunch at Buckingham Palace. The reason perhaps why the Duke and Duchess of Sussex felt "left out" during the Jubilee week. Their status as non-working family members made them no prominent roles in the celebration.

They had only attended two events (Trooping the Colour and National Service of Thanksgiving) and avoided the festivities where royal cousins were seated with each other - The Platinum Party at the Palace and The Platinum Peagent.

Mike Tindall said of the Jubilee celebration: "It was outstanding to be fair, it was just great to be a part of. We had a good cousins' lunch on Thursday. That was my highlight".

The cousin's lunch venue was not revealed, but some royal observers speculated it could be one of the exclusive restaurants in Mayfair in central London called "Scotts".

Mike also revealed that there was a celebratory drink at the Palace after the Platinum Party on Saturday, which Harry and Meghan also did not attend.

He also admitted struggling to "keep a lid" on the lively younger royals including the expressive Prince Louis and his own daughters - Mia and Lena.

"It's tough for them", Mike admitted. "They're all young. It's a long time. But as any parents know you just do whatever needs to be done".

Mike Tindall made headlines with his hilarious attempts to keep Prince Louis under control during the Platinum Pageant on June 5, Sunday. The Tindalls seated next to the Cambridges in the Royal Box. He was seen giving a funny "I'm watching you" hand gesture to Prince Louis when the four-year-old became uncontrollable during the public event.

Mike continued: "Louis, he was just wanting to have fun. And my two are always mischievous so it's trying to keep a lid on. There were lots of sweets out back though, so there was a real sugar high".

Prince Louis was snapped making a series of hilarious facial expressions during his two public appearances with the Royal Family - during Trooping the Colour balcony appearance and The Platinum Pageant.

However, despite mixed reactions from royal fans, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge found their youngest child's antics enjoyable. They posted a personal message on their instagram account, "We all had an incredible time, especially Louis" accompanied by an eyes emoji. They signed the caption, W & C, indicating that the message was directly coming from them.

Mike Tindall married Zara in 2011, just six months after the wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. He and Zara have three children now: Mia, Lena, and Lucas.
