Buckingham Palace has issued an official statement today that Prince Edward's daughter, Lady Louise Mountbatten-Windsor, will study English in a university that's no longer new to royal fans and the Royal Family, The University of St. Andrews in St. Andrews, Fife, Scotland.
Yes! Sounds very familiar because it's the university where Prince William attended and where he met Kate Middleton. Prince William obtained a degree in Geography at The University of St. Andrews, while the Duchess of Cambridge finished Art History.
In a statement released by Buckingham Palace today, the 16th in line to the British throne will study English at one of Scotland's most prestigious universities.
"Having received her A Level results today, Lady Louise will start at St. Andrews University in September to Study English", according to the Palace's official statement.

Lady Louise, who will turn 19 this coming November, is the second grandchild of The Queen to study Higher Education at The University of St. Andrews, after The Duke of Cambridge. But she will be Her Majesty's first grandchild to directly attend a university without taking a gap year.
The University of St. Andrews is one of the oldest universities in the United Kingdom, founded in 1410. It is also one of the highly reputable schools for higher learning in Britain.

It has been named twice as "University of the Year" by The Times and Sunday Times' Good University Guide. This year, 2022, Good University Guide named The University of St. Andrews as UK's Best University, surpassing the University of Oxford and the University of Cambridge.

The University of St. Andrews has three colleges: The United College of St. Salvator and St. Leonard (College of arts, sciences, and medicine), St. Mary's College (College of Divinity), and St. Leonard's College (post-graduate studies).

Just like Prince William and Kate Middleton during their university days, Lady Louise will attend The United College and will take private accommodation at St. Salvator Quandrangle just like her cousin before her.
The University of St. Andrews is just miles away from Queen Elizabeth II's Scottish property, the Balmoral estate.Â
And just this summer break, The Earl and Countess of Wessex, and their children, Lady Louise and James, Viscount Severn, joined The Queen at Balmoral. The Wessex family's recent public appearances were at the Commonwealth Games.
