Her Royal Highness Leonor, the Princess of Asturias is so grown up now. She grew up in the public spotlight so royal fans witnessed how she evolved from a shy child clambering on her mother's arm to the confident teen she has become today.
On October 31, 2022, she will turn 17 years old, it's so surprising to know that she's still a minor considering the number of public appearances she did this year and the several formal speeches she delivered before a wide audience, she's also one of the fewest first-in-line to the throne in Europe today who made her solo engagement before she turned 16.
With several public engagements she did over the last two years, we have seen how she developed her own stylish look, and how her choices of outfits became more elegant for her age.
As a tribute to her 17th birthday, we chose 17 of her best looks so far that showed her fashion evolution developing an image of being one of the emerging royal fashion icons in Europe today:
1. Wearing Sfera embroidered contrast top and black pants - Princess Leonor made her first spring appearance on April 16, 2022, with her parents, King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia, and her sister, Infanta Sofia.Â
They visited the reception center for Ukrainian refugees located in Pozuelo de Alarcon in Madrid. Princess Leonor wore Sfera embroidered contrast top, black pants, and school black flats.
2. First solo engagement of the year wearing casual jeans - Princess Leonor made a solo engagement on April 21, 2022, to Julio Verne High school in Leganes, Madrid to attend a conference on youth and cybersecurity. She wore a white blouse from Other Stories, baby pink jeans from Yerse, and Hugo Boss sneakers.
3. Cool in Dandara Midi Dress - The princess joined her parents and sister on June 25, 2022, watching a Flamenco show in Madrid wearing a Dandara midi dress. Princess Leonor looked cool in this shirt dress in red print.Â
Princess Leonor carried a cross bag with a brown sling during this outing and a pair of shoes with ankle wraps. Her dress was later seen worn by her mother, Queen Letizia, more than a month later during a visit to a UNICEF headquarter in Madrid.
4. Girly in Mango red dress - On July 3, Princess Leonor had a joint engagement with her younger sister, Infanta Sofia. They visited the Figueres Girona with the Princess of Girona Foundation
5. Lovely in a long shirt dress -Â Princess Leonor joined her family in Albeniz Palace, Barcelona, on July 4, 2022, to meet the winners and board members of the Princess of Girona Foundation. Princess Leonor wore a long shirt dress with a black print from Polin et Moi, and a pair of espadrilles from Calzados Picon.
6. Ravishing in an off-shoulder powder blue dress. On July 4, 2022, the Spanish royals attended the annual ceremony of the Princess of Girona Foundation. Princess Leonor sported a glamorous look with her hair held in a bun. She wore a delicate powder blue musca dress from the Miphai Collection, and a pair of Carolina Herrera slingback nude pumps.
7. Gorgeous in a black sleeve blouse and fuchsia pants - The Princess of Asturias and Infanta Sofia had their first overseas engagement without their parents. On July 16, 20222, the royal sisters attended UEA European Women's Football Championship England 2022 at the Brentford Community
Princess Leonor looked so grown-up in fuchsia pants, a sleeveless blouse, and a pair of black shoes. She also carried a black clutch during the said sports event.
8. Radiant in a bi-colored dress - The family of King Felipe VI attended a national offering to the Apostle of Saint James in Compostela Spain on July 25, 2022. Princess Leonor wore a bi-colored Yasmin dress from Cayrowoman and a pair of Carolina Herrera slingback nude pumps.
9. Summery in a white mini dress - On August 1, 2022, a day after their arrival in Palma de Mallorca, Princess Leonor and her family visited the monumental complex of the Cartuja de Valldemossa for the backdrop of their first family photo opportunity while on vacation in the Balearic islands.
Princess Leonor kept her touch of cuteness by wearing a white embroidered mini dress from Sfera and a pair of Sardinia canvas wedge espadrilles from Mint and Rose.Â

10. Beautiful in a knotted midi dress - On August 5, 2022, the Spanish royals had a dinner out after King Felipe VI competed in the Sailing Regatta event in Palma. Princess Leonor wore a gray knotted midi dress and espadrilles from Calzados Picon.Â
11. Stunning in a mini blue dress - Princess Leonor had an all-girls dinner out and night market strolling in Palma de Mallorca with her grandmother, Queen Sofia, mother, Queen Letizia, and sister, Infanta Sofia, on August 7.Â
Princess Leonor wore a sexy mini dress in floral blue from Zara and a pair of wedge espadrilles from Mint and Rose. She completed her fashion icon looks by carrying an all-white cross bag.Â
12. Cute summery look in a strawberry dress - On August 10, 2022, before they left Palma de Mallorca, the family of King Felipe VI had a morning stroll around the city wearing casual summery attire.

13. Gorgeous in fuchsia pantsuits - Two months after their family break in Mallorca, the public finally saw Princess Leonor. She joined her family in Oviedo, Asturias to watch a concert ahead of the Princess of Asturias Awards Ceremony.Â
14. Stunning in Tweed ensembles! - Princess Leonor rocked a pair of Tweed ensembles from Carolina Herrera on October 28, 2022, while joining her family at hotel reconquista to receive the recipients of the Princess of Asturias Awards.

15. Radiant in Sequined Dress - In the evening of October 28, Friday, Princess Leonor joined her family attending the Princess of Asturias Awarding Ceremony.Â

The Princess of Asturias, who delivered a speech during the ceremony, made sure she will look adorable for the night by wearing an elegant sequined tulle mini dress from Michael Kors, a pair of black croc-effect slingback pumps from Carolina Herrera, and completed her stunning looks by wearing a pair of Chanel earrings that belonged to her mother.
16. Pretty in Pink - On October 29, 2022, Princess Leonor was accompanied by her parents, King Felipe VI of Spain, and Queen Letizia, to Cadavedo, a town in Oviedo, to personally hand the Exemplary Award, as Best Asturian Village.
The 16-year-old Princess of Asturias looked casual and stylish in a baby pink pullover from Mango, cargo pants from Stradivarius, and a pair of white sneakers. Her younger sister, Infanta Sofia, was not able to join because she was not feeling well.

Official Titles
Spain has not changed its succession law, the constitution still follows the male-preference primogeniture succession, thus, Leonor, even though the eldest child of the king, is only the heir-presumptive which is conditional, and if her parents will have a son, she will be replaced as future Spanish monarch.

But at 50 this year, Queen Letizia seems to no longer have any desire to get pregnant so the throne is assured on Leonor. She bears the official titles of Princess of Asturias, Princess of Girona, Princess of Viana, Duchess of Montblanc, Countess of Cervera and Lady of Balaguer. If Leonor ascends to the Spanish throne someday, she would be Spain's first queen regnant since Queen Isabella II, who reigned from 1833 to 1868.
