Princess of Wales Chose To Wear a Sustainable Vintage Chanel Jacket At Coach Core Event

 

Catherine, the Princess of Wales chose to wear a sustainable outfit during a public appearance with Prince William.  On October 13, 2022, the new Prince and Princess of Wales attended the 10th anniversary of the Coach Core Initiative at the Copper Box Arena in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London. 

This scheme was launched during the 2012 London Olympics by the Royal Foundation to support young people in sports and coaching apprenticeships. The Prince and Princess of Wales got sporty during the visit. Prince William participated in boxing and soccer activities while his wife tried wheelchair bowling.

According to Town and Country, it was the final public appearance of the couple with regards to their line of work and focus. The series of engagements they were working on a couple of weeks after becoming the Prince and Princess of Wales were related to mental health, sport, and endangered wildlife.

The Prince of Wales looked youthful and dapper in a black blazer over a light button-down shirt, dark denim jeans, and a pair of brown leather shoes. But the Princess of Wales chose to go vintage, choosing to wear a blazer that was part of Chanel's 1995 fall collection.

Catherine wore a bright blue vintage double-breasted blazer with large buttons and black pipping trimming. She paired it with black trousers and black suede pumps from Gianvito Rossi. And complete her looks with twist hoops in gold and a gold necklace with a Stilla Lapis Lazuli pendant.

According to Far Fetch, Chanel's bright blue double-breasted tweed jacket is made of a cotton-wool blend in a deep shade of cobalt blue. It is 57%  Acrylic, 21% Nylon, 11% Cotton, and 11% Wool. It has double C-logo embossed buttons, turn-up cuffs, notched lapels, four front patch pockets, crop sleeves, and a straight hem. It is a sustainable outfit because it can be recycled at any time. It can also be mixed and matched with other pieces. wardrobe.

Catherine, the Princess of Wales is one of the fewest working royals in Europe below the age of 50 who has a penchant for vintage wardrobe.
