On September 28, 2022, Wednesday, Queen Letizia of Spain made a solo public engagement to La Mancha, Spain. She attended the opening of the new vocational education course at the Centro Integrado de Formacion Professional (CIDFP).
To mark her visit, the school presented her with a black and white portrait of her two daughters, Leonor, the Princess of Asturias, and Infanta Sofia of Spain.

The portrait was based on the black and white photo of the royal sisters released by the Spanish Royal Court in February 2020, just before the pandemic. When the photo was taken, the Princess of Asturias was just 14 and her younger sister, Infanta Sofia, was 12.
Queen Letizia caressed daughters' portrait
It was a proud mama moment for the Spanish Queen as she lovingly gazed at her daughters' portrait. She was later seen caressing the faces of the princesses and released a wide grin.
A touching moment for Queen Letizia as she rarely received a personal family portrait during an official visit. You could feel how happy and proud she was as she chatted with the personnel at the Centro Integrado de Formacion Professional while holding the portrait.
For her La Mancha trip, the stylish Queen donned Trimie wide-leg crop black trousers from Boss and a ruffled collar white blouse from Adolfo Dominguez. She paired her chic outfit with black suede slingback pumps from Isabel Abdo shoes.
Leonor, the Princess of Asturias is currently in the United Kingdom completing her secondary school studies at the United World College of the Atlantic in Wales. She is scheduled to take an autumn break in the last week of October to attend the Princess of Asturias Awards in the Principality of Asturias, Spain. The event will be a special one as it coincides with her 17th birthday.

Princess Leonor's formal royal duty will begin next year when she turns 18. She is scheduled to undergo military training in Spain, as part of her future role as Commander-in-Chief of the Spanish Armed Forces.
Her father, King Felipe VI, will also turn over the chairmanship of the Princess of Girona Foundation and Princess of Asturias Foundation (and corresponding awards) when she will turn 18 next year.Â

Infanta Sofia returned to school in September, and on her first day of school, she was accompanied by her father, King Felipe VI. She is in her last year of ESO at the Santa Maria de Los Rosales School in Madrid.

Then she will have to decide if she wants to continue her schooling in Madrid or take up a baccalaureate diploma at the UWC Atlantic in Wales, just like her older sister.
Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofia grew up in the public eye since the reign of their grandfather, King Juan Carlos I, who abdicated in June 2014. And they always attracted attention from photographers each time they step out in public.
