Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden, Duchess of Vastergotland, her husband, Prince Daniel, and their children: Princess Estelle, Duchess of Ostergotland, and Prince Oscar, Duke of Skane, visited the Royal Swedish Opera to see the Cinderella Ballet.

The royal couple and their kids arrived at the performance venue ahead of the presentation to meet the Opera's staff. Princess Estelle and Prince Oscar had the opportunity to try on Cinderella Ballet costumes.

Princess Estelle, who just turned 10 this year, looked so pretty in a purple silk dress with a beige hat while her younger brother, Prince Oscar, 6, was transformed into a little fairytale prince with his costume with a large brimmed hat and a sash.

Cinderella was first performed by the Bolshoi Ballet in 1945. This reinterpretation has been created exclusively for the Royal Swedish Ballet by Tamara Rojo, artistic director at the English National Ballet. The performances will run until January 24, 2022, in time for its 250th anniversary.

The family then seated in the Royal Box to see the ballet performance. The Royal Swedish Opera will celebrate its 250th anniversary in 2023, in time for the year-long celebration of King Carl XVI Gustaf's Golden anniversary as Swedish monarch.

Crown Princess Victoria and her family took also the opportunity to have a new family portrait at the Royal Swedish Opera in time for the Christmas season.

It's five days before Christmas so this might be the last public engagement of the Crown Princess couple before taking the Christmas break.

Princess Estelle and Prince Oscar are the only grandchildren of the king who carried the style of Their Royal Highnesses, and also officially members of the House of Bernadotte. The king stripped his other grandchildren (the children of Prince Carl Philip and Princess Madeleine) of their HRH styles to streamline the Swedish monarchy.

However, unlike his first cousin, Queen Margrethe II of Denmark, King Carl XVI Gustaf did not remove the prince and princess titles from his grandchildren. They also retained the ducal titles they acquired upon birth.
