The Duke and Duchess of Sussex continue to rattle the gilded cages of the Royal Family with their explosive revelations about the state of their relationship with the British senior royals.
And as if to add salt to open wounds, Prince Harry made it even more sensational when he divulged private "family matters" in his memoir, SPARE, set to be released tomorrow, January 10.

He made several claims, which both Kensington Palace and Buckingham Palace refused to comment on, that directly attacked his relationship with his father, King Charles III, stepmother, Queen Camilla, and brother, William, the Prince of Wales, which many royal analysts believed, may thoroughly severe whatever remaining ties he is with his family.
Royal reconciliation between the Sussexes and Harry's brother and father looks like a "distant possibility" for now. Not when the Prince of Wales had been painted a "bad brother" in SPARE.
Here are some of the sensational allegations made by Prince Harry in his memoir. Some of these allegations are serious that we are wondering if the King can still forgive his second son for revealing too much in public and breaking the code of secrecy and silence of the Royal Family.
1. Prince William physically attacked him. In a shocking new revelation, Prince Harry has alleged that his older brother, now the Prince of Wales once physically attacked him.
The encounter happened in 2019 in Nottingham Cottage on the grounds of Kensington Palace where Harry and Meghan previously lived following their wedding in 2018.
Their heated argument was about the treatment of Meghan Markle, according to the Guardian, which obtained a prerelease copy of SPARE.
Prince William allegedly “knocked” him to the floor during a heated argument, grabbing him on the collar, and ripping his necklace.
Prince William allegedly had come over “piping hot” to talk about Harry’s “whole rolling catastrophe” of his relationship with Markle, as well as their issues with the British press, which has been critical of their marriage.
Prince William allegedly called Meghan Markle “difficult,” “rude,” and “abrasive,” to which Harry replied that his older brother was parroting false media narratives. Harry accused his brother of “acting like an heir,” and the two exchanged insults.
According to the account, Prince William claimed he was only trying to help, to which Harry then replied: “Are you serious? Help me? Sorry—is that what you call this? Helping me?”
That remark purportedly angered William, so Harry went to the kitchen to get him a glass of water. Harry retells that William, who was tailing him, set down the water and then “came at me.”
“It all happened so fast. So very fast,” Harry reportedly writes in his memoir. “He grabbed me by the collar, ripping my necklace, and he knocked me to the floor. I landed on the dog’s bowl, which cracked under my back, the pieces cutting into me. I lay there for a moment, dazed, then got to my feet and told him to get out.”
Harry reportedly writes that William urged him to hit back, but he refused. According to the story, William left the cottage though he returned shortly after to apologize; then he left again but not before saying that Harry did not “need to tell Meg about this”—referring to the altercation.

2. Prince William did not like having Harry at Eton
Prince Harry began high school at Eton College at a time when he was a "broken" youngster, It was a month after the tragic death of his mother, Diana, Princess of Wales, in 1997. So he was a bit of a "lost" teen.
However, he revealed that he did not receive any sympathy and support from his older brother who was then entering his third year at Eton.
"You don't know me, Harold (Prince William's nickname for Harry). And I don't know you," is what Harry claims William said to him as he was about to start school at Eton College.
Harry says his brother explained to him "that during his first two years there, Eton had been a sanctuary. That was without the burden of a little brother who would bother him with questions or stick his nose in his social circle," Harry says in the book.
3. William and Catherine laughed at Harry's Nazi costume
The memoir also claims William and Catherine laughed when Harry returned home dressed in a Nazi uniform before a fancy dress party in 2005.
Harry says he was debating costumes for the event and called on the pair to ask their opinions - he had a pilot's uniform and a Nazi outfit to choose from. He details it in his memoir:
"I called Will and Kate and asked them what they thought," Harry disclosed in the book. "Nazi uniform, they said. I rented it, along with a ridiculous mustache, and returned home."
"Willy and Kate were laughing. It was even worse than Willy's leotard costume. Much more ridiculous."
Prince Harry was 20 when The Sun published a front-page photo of him dressed in the uniform at a costume party with a "Native and Colonial" theme.
4. Prince William suggested a village chapel for Harry and Meghan's wedding
The Duke of Sussex claims the royal household dragged its feet over the date and venue for his wedding with Meghan Markle in 2018.
He says when he consulted his brother about the possibility of marrying in St Paul's Cathedral or Westminster Abbey, William said it was not possible because they had been the venues for the weddings of Charles and Diana, and William and Catherine, respectively.
Prince William instead suggested a village chapel near their father's Highgrove House home in the Cotswolds, says Harry. But they later wed at St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle, in May 2018.
5. Their father, now King Charles III, 'begged them not to fight'
After the funeral of Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, in April 2021, Prince Harry describes a confrontation involving him and his brother.
Harry attended the funeral of Prince Philip without Meghan who was heavily pregnant at that time with their second child, Lilibet Diana. And just two months after Harry and Meghan's bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey.
Prince Harry says that Prince Charles stood between him and Prince William and told them: "Please, boys... don't make my final years a misery."
6. Begging their father not to marry Camilla
Harry disclosed the pain he felt towards his father's decision to marry Camilla, Parker Bowles, who was also the "root" of Diana's misery.
After his parents' messy divorce, Prince Harry and Prince William begged their father never to marry Camilla. Still, the Prince of Wales went on with his plan to take Camilla as his second wife, a reality that both William and Harry accepted.
"In spite of Willy and I begging him not to, my father proceeded with his plan. We shook him by the hand and wished him all the best without hard feelings," he wrote.
"We recognized that he was going to be with the woman he always loved, the woman that fate had in store for him from the beginning."
7. Catherine was upset about Meghan borrowing her lip gloss
Prince Harry's book gives proof that all was really not well with Catherine and Meghan ever since. He shared details of the alleged feud between his wife Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, and his sister-in-law Catherine, the Princess of Wales.
Their supposed "disgust" towards each other even included a trivial women's thing called lip gloss. In SPARE, Prince Harry says Meghan has offended Catherine by asking to borrow her lip gloss just before an event.
When Meghan squeezed a little bit on her finger and applied it to her lips Catherine looked disgusted, Prince Harry said in the book.

8. Meghan called Catherine having a brain of a child
Prince Harry recalled an incident that took place in the lead-up to his and Meghan’s royal wedding in May 2018. The incident centers on the Duchess of Sussex allegedly telling Kate she must be suffering from “baby brain because of her hormones”.
Harry claimed that Catherine, now the Princess of Wales, demanded an apology after Meghan suggested she had forgotten something because she was suffering from "baby brain."
The disagreement came at a planned reconciliatory tea at Kensington Palace in June 2018, a month after Harry and Meghan's wedding. But despite the peacemaking plan, rancor still flew "when the discussion turned to post-pregnancy hormones", he adds.
According to the book, Catherine told Meghan: “You talked about my hormones. We are not close enough for you to talk about my hormones!”
Meghan recalled the conversation but was perplexed at Kate's reaction. He goes on to suggest that William then pointed at Meghan and said her “rude” comment was not the way things were done in Britain, especially in the Royal Family.
Meghan then apparently told William to “take your finger out of my face."
Other sources said, “In the book, Harry says that there was a discussion about the timing of the wedding rehearsal and the flower girl dresses, and Kate was very upset".
“Meghan said that Kate must have ‘baby brain’ because of her hormones. It caused a huge row because Meghan was told that she wasn’t close enough to her sister-in-law to discuss her hormones”
The book “makes clear that Meghan felt the fall-out wasn’t her fault”, but “doesn’t exactly make her look very good either”, according to the source.
So what is "baby brain"? According to Mayo Clinic, the term “baby brain” often refers to “memory problems, poor concentration, and absent-mindedness reported by many women during pregnancy and early motherhood”.
It must be noted that Catherine just gave birth to her third child, Prince Louis, on April 23, 2018, just three weeks before Harry and Meghan's wedding.
9. Prince William was jealous of establishing Invictus Games
Prince Harry helped establish the Invictus Games in 2014 with the aim to support wounded servicemen. Prince William and Prince Charles attended the opening games in London. However, behind the scene, it did not go smoothly according to Harry's book.
The Duke of Sussex claimed his brother “appeared supremely irritated” when he explained the idea of holding the tournament for wounded and sick veterans and serving members of the armed forces.
He suggested William was worried the event would drain money from the Royal Foundation — the charity the brothers founded in 2009.
He wrote: “Had we not gotten over that? All of that stuff about the heir versus the replacement? Were we not a bit too old for that tiring, child-like dynamic?
The book also includes jibes from Harry about his brother’s “alarming” baldness which he describes as more “advanced than mine” while he also commented that Prince William’s resemblance to their mother, Princess Diana, has “faded”.
10. Dad Charles joked about not being his father
One of the most absurd allegations written in SPARE is Prince Harry's disclosure that his dad once joked about his fatherhood. “Who knows if I’m even your real father?” said Prince Charles.
Harry said it was in “bad taste” due to talk about a five-year affair between Diana and cavalry officer James Hewitt.
But during his 1995 Panorama interview, the late Princess of Wales maintained she only met James Hewitt in 1986, two years after the birth of Prince Harry
Why Harry and Meghan are still not renouncing their royal titles?
Following these controversial allegations, royal observers have called out King Charles III to strip Harry and Meghan of their "Duke and Duchess" titles as they no longer deserved them. And ostracized them from the British royal court for continuing to damage the institution with their public disclosure.
Broadcast journalist, Anderson Cooper, had a chance to interview Prince Harry on CBS' 60 Minutes on Sunday in relation to the publication of SPARE. Anderson asked Prince Harry: "Why not renounce your titles as Duke and Duchess?"
Prince Harry replied: "And what difference would that make?"
Anderson then continued, "One of the criticisms that you've received is that okay, fine, you wanna move to California, you wanna step back from the institutional role. Why be so public? Why reveal conversations you've had with your father or with your brother? You say you tried to do this privately".
Prince Harry said: "Every single time I've tried to do it privately there have been briefings and leakings and planting of stories against me and my wife. You know the family motto is 'never complain, never explain'. But it's just a motto. And it doesn't really hold."

Mixed Reactions from the public
Prince Harry's allegations in his memoir drew mixed reactions, some royal watchers are disappointed with his indiscretion for continue washing dirty linen in public. Others are sympathizing with Harry's "unhealed" trauma from his mother's death.
While other royal analysts believed it won't have much of an impact on the monarchy, especially on Prince William's public image, it would nonetheless forever inflict irreparable damage to Prince Harry's ties with his father and brother.
British journalist, Robert Jobson says, “The relationship [between] the brothers is practically at an all-time low. I can’t imagine anything that will improve it.”
Victoria Arbiter, a royal commentator for the Australian lifestyle network, Honey, has focused on Harry’s emotional state. “Prince Harry appears to be so consumed with anger” she tweeted.

The current situation of Prince Harry and his brother and father has been compared to the controversial days of the messy marriage of Prince Charles and Princess Diana where their supporters lined up in two classes: royalists backing Prince Charles while the common people backing Princess Diana.
Now it seems the situation feels the same. Royalists are supporting Prince William and King Charles while the common people or the masses are supporting Harry and Meghan.
SPARE is due to be released tomorrow, January 10, 2023, just a month after Harry and Meghan's docuseries on Netflix, which also threw shades on the British royal family.
