Prince Albert II paints for international women's day

On March 8, 2023, the world will celebrate International Women's Right Day. In Monaco, it's a special event to celebrate women and raise awareness for the challenges they face.

Monaco's Sovereign Prince, Albert II, and his wife, Princess Charlène participated in the preparations of Operation #8MarchMonaco by creating their works with artist Mr. OneTeas outside the Prince's Palace.

The Monaco Women’s Rights Committee has created a large, collective piece of art based on the themes of women’s rights and the protections of the sea, which will be unveiled on 8 March.

Princess Charlene paints for international women's day

On March 8, the artwork of Prince Albert and Princess Charlene will be included in Operation #8MarchMonaco which will be visible around the Principality with various pieces of art. 

International Women's Day (IWD) is a global holiday celebrated annually every March 8 as a focal point in the women's rights movement, bringing attention to issues such as gender equality, reproductive rights, and violence and abuse against women.
