King Willem-Alexander, Queen Maxima, and Catharina-Amalia, the Princess of Orange, just concluded their first joint Royal Caribbean Tour yesterday, February 9, 2023.
The Dutch Royals began their Royal Caribbean Tour on January 27, 2023, and visited all Dutch territories and constituent countries in the Caribbean Islands, meeting citizens and local leaders.Â

Princess Catharina-Amalia was grateful for the warm welcome by the island citizens and shared a special message after their successful tour:
"Thank you very much for the warm welcome. I could not have imagined a better introduction to the Caribbean part of the Kingdom.Â
I really enjoyed getting to know all the islands. Getting to know all the islands was a wonderful experience and I look forward to coming back. On behalf of my parents, I would like to say: masha danki! (Thank you very much)" - HRH The Princess of Orange
The Dutch royals, who kicked off their tour on January 27 in Bonaire, wrapped up their Caribbean Tour on the beautiful island of Saba, known for its magnificent beaches.Â

Saba is one of the three special municipalities of the Kingdom of the Netherlands on the Caribbean island, with the islands of St. Eustatius, and Bonaire. The constituent countries of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the Caribbean are Aruba, Curacao, and St. Maarten.Â

The purpose of their Royal Caribbean Tour was to introduce the 19-year-old Princess of Orange as the future monarch of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. It was the first official duty performed by Princess Catharina-Amalia outside Europe.

During their 10-day tour, the royals mingled with the local communities and participated in a series of cultural and public activities. They met local leaders, entrepreneurs, and island residents during their stay.
The islands had also put together a program covering topics in culture, nature, colonial history, sports, defense operations, and activities that allowed the royals to participate and enjoy.Â

The royal party was accompanied by State Secretary for Kingdom Relations and Digitalization, Alexandra van Huffelen.

After their Caribbean Tour, the Princess of Orange will be back to school in Amsterdam. She is in her freshman and currently attending classes in Political Science, History, and Philosophy at the University of Amsterdam.Â
But she gave up staying at the student's dorm in the university after a security threat in September last year. The princess went back to live with her family in The Hague.

While King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima will prepare for their March 2023 State Visit to Slovakia.Â
The King and Queen will visit Slovakia, a landlocked country in Central Europe, for two days, from March 7 to March 9, 2023, at the invitation of President Zuzana Čaputová.
