His Royal Highness Prince Louis of Wales turned five! To mark the youngster's fifth birthday, two photos have been released in time for the royal's personal milestone.

In a fresh departure from the royal tradition, the two photos of Prince Louis were taken by a professional photographer, Millie Pilkington, and not Catherine, who has been taking personal photos of her family, especially her three children's birthday photos.

In the first photo, the smiling Prince Louis is being pushed by his mother, Catherine, the Princess of Wales, in a wheelbarrow and in a relaxed setting, which indicated Catherine's passion for gardening.

For his special birthday photos, Prince Louis is wearing a knitted blue sweater and blue shorts. The color is similar to the outfits worn by his two older siblings, Prince George, and Princess Charlotte for their official birthday portraits in 2022.

Prince Louis caught the attention of the public in June 2022 during Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee celebration due to her cheeky demeanor, expressing both his amazement, excitement, and boredom, during the public events.

Prince Louis of Wales is currently fourth in the line of succession to the British throne, behind his father, Prince William, the Prince of Wales, and his two older siblings, Prince George, and Princess Charlotte of Wales.

He was born on St. George's Day - April 23, 2018, at St, Mary's Hospital in the Paddington section in London, near Kensington Palace. At 11 weeks old, he was christened Louis Arthur Charles by the Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby, at the Chapel Royal in St James's Palace.

His first name, Louis, is a tribute to his paternal grandfather's (Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh) family side. Prince Louis of Battenberg, the maternal grandfather of Prince Philip, who later known as Louis Mountbatten, 1st Marquess of Milford-Haven. And to Lord Louis Mountbatten, 1st Earl of Burma, maternal uncle and mentor of Prince Philip, who was King Charles III's closest uncle.
