Infanta Sofia of Spain's Fuchsia Outfit to her Church Confirmation Sparks Discussion

The Spanish Royal Family attended the Confirmation in the Roman Catholic church of HRH Infanta Sofia in Madrid, Spain.

The Infanta's Confirmation is just days after they attended the baccalaureate graduation of Princess Leonor in Wales, UK.

Infanta Sofia, who turned 16 in April this year, was confirmed in the Catholic church together with her high school classmates from Santa Maria de los Rosales School in Madrid.

However, Infanta Sofia's fuchsia ensemble - a sleeveless jumpsuit with a cut around the abdomen raises eyebrows from royal fans as the outfit didn't suit the event.

Although Catholic Church already gives parishioners freedom to wear pants when attending any church services, wearing sleeveless, especially exposing the abdomen part, to a solemn church rite such as Confirmation, is still considered inappropriate.

Everyone's expected Infanta Sofia to wear a decent dress for her Confirmation just like her older sister, the Princess of Asturias, in 2021, thus, members of the public were surprised to see her in a bit daring outfit 😄

In a major contrast, her sister, Princess Leonor wore a midi Rosary dress from Polin et Moi and a pair of navy blue espadrille wedges from Calzado Picon. Queen Letizia wore white square pants and a pink blouse from Boss. She's wearing her espadrille wedges from Macarena shoes.

Well, despite this fashion blunder, Infanta Sofia is a rising royal star when it comes to style and sophisticated fashion. At 16, she's already a seasoned stylish royal, exhibiting a unique taste in fashion.

Infanta Sofia is the second child of King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia. She is currently second in the line of succession to the Spanish throne behind her older sister. At birth, she was named after her paternal grandmother, Queen Sofia. 

This coming autumn, Infanta Sofia will begin her international baccalaureate diploma in UWC College of the Atlantic in Wales, following the footsteps of her older sister.
