The photos were taken by photographer Hugo Burnand in the throne room of Buckingham Palace except for the solo photo of Her Majesty which was taken in the green room of Buckingham palace.

Their Majesties were joined by the working royals and Sir Timothy Laurence, the husband of Princess Anne.

Their Majesties were formally crowned on May 6, 2023, at Westminster Abbey, in a service that lasted two hours in front of 2,200 guests.

The King and Queen wore their Robes of Estate with the King wearing the Imperial State Crown. Queen Camilla wore the Queen Mary's Coronation Crown and the Coronation Diamond Necklace originally belonged to Queen Victoria.

The male working royals wore their Order of the Garter regalia, Princess Anne wore a military uniform. Catherine wore a bespoke white dress from Alexander McQueen while the Duchess of Edinburgh wore a bespoke Suzannah London white dress.

The Princess of Wales wore for the first time the King George VI Festoon Necklace. And a pair of pearl and diamond earrings originally belonged to Diana, Princess of Wales.

The 21st century Coronation has been scaled down and the royals and guests were not wearing tiaras and coronets. Instead, they were told to wear their best Sunday dress and hats. Men wore their morning suits.

However, the female working royals who donned a long white dress and a blue Royal Victorian Order cape, wore a silver floral headdress.

Queen Camilla wore a white gown embroidered in gold threads from Bruce Oldfield. Her gown has personalized symbolism, apart from her personal emblem, her two rescue Jack Russell dogs and names of her children and grandchildren were embroidered on the hem.

Glancing at the group photo, some royal fans can't help but wonder why Sir Timothy Laurence, the husband of Princess Anne, is included in the photo when he is not a working royal?

Prince Andrew, the Duke of York, although permitted to wear his Order of the Garter regalia at Westminster Abbey, was not part of the customary balcony appearance and the group photo because he is no longer a working royal.

The King's second son, Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, although attended his father's coronation ceremony wearing a morning suit, rushed to the airport after the Coronation service to fly back to California to be with his wife and children.
