Catherine, The Princess of Wales just earned her very first accolade in photography! Congratulations 🎉

The stunning photo of then Duchess of Cornwall, now Queen, that Catherine took in July 2022 won Cover of the Year in the PPA Awards after it appeared on the front cover of a special royal edition of Country Life on July 13, 2022.

It was their first photography collaboration ever as Camilla commissioned Kate to take her photos for a magazine cover. Although the Princess of Wales, an amateur photographer, has been regularly taking photographs of the Royal Family, especially her children, all through these years none of those photos landed as an official magazine cover.

The Country Life Magazine shared the good news on Instagram. "We are thrilled to announce that Country Life has won the Cover of the Year title at the PPA Awards, the "Oscars" of the magazine world".

The photograph of then Duchess of Cornwall, taken by then Duchess of Cambridge, appeared on the July 13 cover magazine of Country Life. It was taken in the gardens of Ray Mill House – Camilla's rural bolthole in Lacock, Wiltshire, near Highgrove Estate.

Queen Camilla starred on the cover of Country Life in her role as guest editor to celebrate both her 75th birthday and the magazine's 125th anniversary in July 2022.

In the photo, Camilla is pictured sitting on a bench in the grounds of her blooming garden, clutching a basket filled with pelargoniums.

For the special photoshoot, Camilla donned an outfit that complimented her garden, a refreshing sky blue and white floral dress which she teamed with a powder blue cardigan.

In keeping with the garden theme, her dress was decorated with little white flowers. The white flowers also boasted flecks of pink which added a further pop of color to the dress.

At the time, Mark Hedges, editor-in-chief of Country Life magazine, said: "We are thrilled to have our guest editor captured so magnificently by royal photographer the Duchess of Cambridge.

It was the first time her formal portrait had been taken by the then-Duchess of Cambridge.

The PPA award judges said: "This cover was crucial in setting the tone and becoming the centrepiece for what became the fastest-selling issue in Country Life's history."

Hoping to see more of her photographs featured in a magazine cover in the years to come. She's indeed a very talented photographer. Congratulations!
