King Felipe VI, Queen Letizia, Princess Leonor, and Infanta Sofia of Spain began their summer holiday break in Palma de Mallorca on July 30. It's their annual summer break tradition to stay in the Balearic islands.
And when it comes to royal summer holiday fashion inspiration, the Spanish royals are the best in this category. On July 31, Queen Letizia and her daughters wore summery frocks with matching espadrille wedges as they toured Jardines de Alfabia in Sierra de Tramuntana, a UNESCO World Heritage Site due to its impressive cultural landscape.
Infanta Sofia wore a Fedora dress in Ecru from Bash, Queen Letizia in a pink Adolfo Dominquez dress, and the Princess of Asturias in a breezy green dress from Mango. While King Felipe VI wore a button-down shirt and pants. Both were wearing their favorite summer footwear fashion - espadrilles!
This year's summer holiday break for the Spanish royal family is more special as Princess Leonor will start her military training this month, and Infanta Sofia is preparing to enter the United World College of the Atlantic in Wales, England for her International Baccalaureate diploma, following her sister's steps.Â
On August 3, 2023, King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia were joined by Queen Emerita Sofia to attend the reception for the authorities of the Balearic islands and to a Representation of the Balearic Society. Queen Letizia wore a flowing blue ruffle dress from Desigual.
On August 5, 2023, they were joined by Queen Sofia's younger sister, Princess Irene of Greece and Denmark, who is already a Spanish citizen, as they stepped out for dinner in Mia Restaurant in the city center of Palma de Mallorca.Â
