King Charles III Diagnosed with Cancer, Buckingham Palace Confirms

King Charles diagnosed with Cancer

Just days after His Majesty was discharged from the London Clinic following a prostate surgery, Buckingham Palace released a statement that the 75-year-old monarch has been diagnosed with a certain form of cancer.

This announcement came as a shock considering how the king has maintained a very healthy lifestyle ever since his youth. All the foods he consumes are believed to be organic and he has been advocating organic farming and healthy living.

It is believed His Majesty has already discussed his diagnosis with his sons, the Prince of Wales, and the Duke of Sussex, and Prince Harry has been reported to be coming home after talking to his father.

It also came as a surprise that the palace decided to disclose the King's sensitive medical information considering how secretive they were during the reign of Queen Elizabeth II, who was known to have never shared her health issues with the public.

The palace, however, revealed that it was the King's choice to disclose his health information to spread public awareness about health and diseases.

Here's the official statement from Buckingham Palace regarding His Majesty's health concerns:

During The King’s recent hospital procedure for benign prostate enlargement, a separate issue of concern was noted. Subsequent diagnostic tests have identified a form of cancer.

His Majesty has today commenced a schedule of regular treatments, during which time he has been advised by doctors to postpone public-facing duties. Throughout this period, His Majesty will continue to undertake State business and official paperwork as usual.

The King is grateful to his medical team for their swift intervention, which was made possible thanks to his recent hospital procedure. He remains wholly positive about his treatment and looks forward to returning to full public duty as soon as possible.

His Majesty has chosen to share his diagnosis to prevent speculation and in the hope it may assist public understanding for all those around the world who are affected by cancer.

We wish His Majesty, King Charles III good health, and may he continue to recover and get back in good shape. Long Live the King!
