10 Royal Moms In Style For The Week. Happy Mother's Day To Our Royal Fashion Icon Moms!


Our royal style icons for the first week of May in time for Mother's Day! Our royal moms are balancing their roles as a mother, a wife, and working members of the royal family. 

Despite juggling motherhood and royal duties, these ten royals still managed to rock in style attending public engagements for the week.

1. Crown Princess Mary of Denmark

Crown Princess Mary of Denmark is always effortless in choosing what type of wardrobe works best for her on a specific occasion. 


On May 3, 2022, Crown Princess Mary joined her husband, Crown Prince Frederick, and mother-in-law, Queen Margrethe II, as they welcomed the Prime Minister of India. Her Majesty hosted an official dinner later at her residence, Christian IX's Palace. 


CP Mary wore an elegant Silk Lilac Cape Dress from Maison Valentino. The gorgeous designer gown is semi-fitted with a crew neckline accompanied by a fabulous long cape falling from the shoulders and back, she accessorized it with diamond pendant earrings from Bruun Rasmussen and a Silver Clutch from J. Furman. She wore a pair of Manolo Blahnik grey satin pumps.

The Crown Princess attended another public event, on May 4, 2022, the Home Guard's Parade, at the Castle in Copenhagen, in her capacity as the Guard's Captain. She wore a business attire blue dress from Soeren le Schmidt with matching Navy Suede Pumps from Jimmy Choo.

2. Queen Letizia of Spain

The Queen consort of Spain has been known for her classy choices of outfits whenever she is attending public events. However, this week, it was one of those rare moments when chic fashionista also experienced fashion blunders. 


On May 4, 2022, Queen Letizia attended a council meeting of The Royal Board of Trustees on Disability, in her capacity as their honorary president. She also handed awards for the recipients of Premio Reigna Letezia 2021.


The awkward fashion moment came when one of the awardees, Immaculada Vivas Teson, a law professor, wore the same dress of the Queen. 


And the accidental twinning happened! To the Queen Consort's surprise, one of the recipients of her foundation's awards, Immaculada Vivas Teson, a law professor, also wore the same dress as her!

On May 5, 2022, Queen Letizia attended the National Research Awards with King Felipe VI and wore a Carolina Herrera red dress, Dalila pumps from Magrit Shoes, and accessorized with Lea Clutch also from Magrit. 


We have noticed that Queen Letizia's favorite go-to brand of shoes is MAGRIT. It is a Spanish footwear brand with decades of experience in shoemaking. Their business operation began in 1929 and now spanning across five continents. Magrit also sells luxury bags and pouches. 

3. The Duchess of Cambridge

We particularly love this beautiful bottled green dress of Kate 💖💚


The Duchess of Cambridge also rocked a classy style this week when she attended a solo public appearance on May 4, 2022. She attended the British Fashion Council to present the Queen Elizabeth II award for emerging British Design. 


She wore a bottled green Pedernal dress in Floububble Jacquard from Edeline Lee. The dress, according to its official website, has ease and elegance in its fit with a loose-fitting bodice, high neck, and fitted waist with a removable belt featuring Ivory fabric-covered buckles. 

The skirt has a slimline that flares at the hem and adjustable tie closure at the elbow. It is on sale now at £785. She accessorized her outfit with Nadia Irena Campbell earrings and Natasha greenery clutch from Emmy London. She wore Rebecca Greenery pumps from Emmy London.


On May 5, 2022, KP released a video to announce Kate's new patronage, Maternal Mental Health Alliance. During her virtual appearance, she was seen wearing a Crepe de Chine dress from Max Mara.


4. Queen Maxima of The Netherlands

Queen Maxima wore a somber outfit this week attending a National Commemoration event with King Willem-Alexander.


On May 4, 2022, the King and Queen of The Netherlands attended the National Commemoration on Dam Square in Amsterdam. 


The Queen wore a black coat dress from Natan Couture, and a black hat from Philip Treacy. Her black Clutch and black pumps are also from Natan Couture. 


5. Queen Mathilde of Belgium


Their Majesties The King and Queen of the Belgians made an official state visit to Greece. The visit began on May 2, 2022. And the Queen did not disappoint with her tour wardrobe.


Queen Mathilde donned a Natan Couture Gabin dress, during a courtesy call to Presidential Palace, meeting the Greek President, Katerina Sakellaropoulou. She also honored the country by wearing a bespoke Santorini hat from Maison Fabienne Delvigne. 

According to its official instagram account, the hat is made of parabuntal fibers.

On May 3, 2022, Their Majesties visited the picturesque archeological site of Sounio and, had an opportunity to marvel at the stunning views of the peninsula, the sea routes to Athens, and the port of Piraeus. and the temple of Poseidon


Their Majesties attended a State Banquet hosted by Greek President, Katerina Sakellaropoulou, and her partner, Mr. Pavlos Cotsonis at the Presidential Palace. The Queen wore an elegant sleeveless green gown from Costa Rellos.

6. Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden

Their Royal Highnesses The Crown Prince and Princess of Norway made an official visit to Sweden. The tour began on May 2, 2022 with the Swedish Crown Couple receiving their Norwegian counterparts at the Haga Palace.

During the welcome appearance, Crown Princess Victoria wore a Maisy dress from By Malina, clutching a Quilted Pouch by Miumiu, and wearing a Gianvito white leather pumps from Gianvito Rossi. She accessorized her outfit with baroque pearl earrings from Craving for Jewellery.

We also love Crown Princess Victoria's crimson pantsuit ensemble she wore to the Nordic Spinal Cord Society Conference on May 5, 2022. Her outfit, Blake trousers and Frida blazer are all from Lexington Company, while her ivory silk blouse is from Swedish shirt maker, Stenstroms.

7. Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway


On May 2, 2022, Crown Prince Haakon of Norway and Crown Princess Mette-Marit began their three-day official visit to Sweden. They were received by the Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden and Prince Daniel at Haga Palace.

8. Princess Marie of Denmark


On May 2, 2022, Princess Marie of Denmark, the second wife of Prince Joachim of Denmark, attended the 125th anniversary of Filadelfia, Denmark's special hospital for epilepsy. She wore a Glenda wrap dress from Jane Atelier and grey suede pumps from Gianvito Rossi.

9. Queen Margrethe II of Denmark


Although we don't have information on Her Majesty's wardrobe for this week's public engagement, we love her style and fashion taste, blending several bespoke pieces to come up with a gorgeous look, even at the age of 82. 

She wore a red ensemble when she boarded a ship to grace the anniversary of the Royal Ship Dannebrog.

On May 6, 2022, the Queen visited The Royal Stables at Christianborg Riding Course to grace the naming of the new Royal Stald, which handled by The association Den Kongelige Stalds Venner. It was in honor of the occasion of Dr. Onning's 50th Government anniversary this year.

She also wore a navy blue gown with lacey sleeves during the official dinner she hosted at her residence in honor of the visiting Prime Minister of India.

10. The Countess of Wessex



On May 3, 2022 The Earl and Countess of Wessex visited the social initiatives in Devon and Cornwall which aim to support the communities. 


They also joined volunteers sorting surplus food to be distributed in the community to reduce food poverty in the Plymouth, Lostwithiel and Exeter areas. During the visit, the Countess donned a light khaki blazer from ME+EM, rubber boots from Ariat International.


Sophie also attended the LEAF's (Linking Environment and Farming) 30th anniversary at Ragley Hall. She toured the farm and joined children from Our Lady's Catholic Primary School doing tree planting. The Countess of Wessex is the patron of the organization which works to deliver more sustainable food and farming.
