Members of the House of Bernadotte were in full force on the 14th day of July to celebrate the 45th birthday of Crown Princess Victoria, Duchess of Vastergotland.  In Sweden, her birthday is known as Victoriadagarna or Victoria Days.
The Victoria Days celebration usually takes place on the island of Öland, where the Swedish Royal family spends their summer holiday. It is also a flag flying day to mark the heir-to-the-throne's birthday.

The day started at Solliden Palace, the private home and summer residence of King Carl XVI Gustaf, located between the Borgholm castle ruins and Oland. It is where the Crown Princess Family, King & Queen greet the waiting crowds.Â

The crowds sang "Happy Birthday to You" to the Crown Princess, followed by a walkabout of the Swedish royal family around the palace gardens and to the nearby Borgholm castle's ruins.Â
The Crown Princess also awarded the Victoria Award to a Swedish sportsperson who made a big difference in a particular year.Â

Each year a concert is held to celebrate Victoria Days, with performances from famous artists. The concert is attended by the Royal Family and broadcast on TV.

The royals wore casual attire and Princess Estelle wore a bootcut jeans in light denims, a jacket, and an Adidas sneaker.Â
Princess Madeleine, who is currently based in Florida, in the United States, returned home to join her family for the celebration.Â

After appearing outside Solliden Palace - where the crowds and a children’s choir sang for The Crown Princess's birthday, the royal family then rode in a horse-drawn carriage to Borgholm Castle.

Summer Fashion
The royals stepped out in a chic coordinated summery fashion for the occasion. Early this year, Crown Princess Victoria revealed in a documentary about the royal jewels that they often talked (with the Queen and Princesses Madeleine and Sofia) about what they gonna wear, when attending a public event, so that they can always coordinate in style.
During the Solliden Palace appearance, Crown Princess Victoria wore a beautiful flowing dress - a Gardenia green floral skirt and matching top from Ida Sjostedt, she paired it with a pair of espadrilles from Maison Valentino. She finished her summery looks with dropped diamond earrings. Â
Her eldest child, Princess Estelle, wore a pink cardigan and a beautiful white dress from By Malina. Her son, Prince Oscar, looked dapper in a beige suit that matched his father, Prince Daniel's attire.
Princess Madeleine stunned in an eye-catching hot pink silk maxi dress with floral print from Veronica Beard and a pair of espadrilles from Maison Valentino.

Princess Sofia, the wife of Prince Carl Philip, wore a dusty pink dress with floral details from By Malina, while Queen Silvia opted for a smart floral dress with a pink jacket.
But King Carl XVI Gustaf also looked smart in a peach suit and black pants, and his only son, Prince Carl Philip, chose to wear a light gray suit.

Only working members of the Swedish royal family attended Victoria Days in Solliden Palace as Princess Madeleine's husband, who is not a working member of the family, Chris O'Neil, their three children, and the three children of Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia, were not seen during the celebration.
