After Title Row of His Children, Denmark's Prince Joachim Reconciles with his Family

All's well that ends well for the Danish royals. If there's any indication that everything is okay with the Danish royal family and the rift has been fixed, is the presence of Prince Joachim and his wife, Princess Marie, at Copenhagen City Hall alongside the Danish royal family.

On Saturday, November 12, senior members of the Danish royal family, attended the Official Lunch at the Copenhagen City Hall to mark Her Majesty's Golden Jubilee on the Danish throne this year.

Queen Margrethe II of Denmark was accompanied by her younger sister, Princess Benedikte, her two sons and their respective wives, Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary, Prince Joachim and Princess Marie, and her first cousin (who was once the future King of Denmark), Count Ingolf of Rosenborg, and his wife, Countess Susie of Rosenborg.

The Danish royal family became the hottest news item in the royal world in September when Queen Margrethe II announced that she decided to remove the prince and princess titles of her four grandchildren - Prince Nikolai, Prince Felix, Prince Henrik, and Princess Athena - all children of Prince Joachim, to streamline the Danish royal family.

It created tension between the Queen and her youngest son and his family because it was sudden and Prince Joachim felt his children were unfairly treated. The "rift" went on for a month and Prince Joachim and Princess Marie, even Joachim's former wife, Alexandra, the Countess of Frederiksborg, expressed their disappointment and shock at the sudden decision.

Prince Joachim even stated in the interview that his four children were confused about the removal of their titles. Because as per the previous agreement between Prince Joachim and his mother, his children will lose their prince and princess titles once they reach 25 years old.

Prince Joachim's eldest child, Prince Nikolai is only 23 years old and his youngest child, Princess Athena is only 11 years old.

In October, it was reported that Prince Joachim had a closed-door meeting with his mother to patch up the issue, which began the process of "healing" and reconciliation between mother and son.

We are happy everything is okay with Prince Joachim and the Queen. It was a relief to see him joining the senior members of the Danish royal family in a public event.
